Here are a few of the take-aways I received from Cindy's talk:
There are four receiving types:
Diminisher
- When receiving a compliment WE might say, "Oh this old thing" or
"It was only $20"
- This is when WE think "If WE shine, people aren't going to like me"
Justifier
- When receiving a compliment WE might talk about how hard WE
had to work to get it.
- This is when WE might feel WE aren't worthy to receive everything
and that it has to be hard.
Receiprocator
- When receiving a compliment you may deflect the compliment by
giving one back to the person - This is when you feel you always have to give back to those that give
to you & realize it is OK to just receive
Receiver
- Take it in and just say "Thank You"
Failure is just a Feedback Loop
- Make a decision
- Take Action
- Look for Feedback
- Make adjustments based on the feedback
- **REPEAT**
When you make a decision, miracles happen.
Most of all find nurturing & and joy in your daily life! Discover your strengths
and use them to build on your weaknesses! Don't let past patterns determine
your future!
