• E+O=R (events+response=outcomes)
• My body functions better when I start the day with food
• Take 1 day a week to prep my food
• It all begins with planning!!
• A lack of serotonin can cause excessive unhealthy thoughts
• Focus on what it is you want instead of the lack of it

Our Featured Speaker, Cindy Ashton shared her strategies to help us charge more money by valuing
ourselves & our services!

It was a great presentation, Cindy's approach was
so unique and her analogies and the exercises she
had us doing really brought her points home!

Here are a few of the take-aways I received from Cindy's talk:

There are four receiving types:

Diminisher

• When receiving a compliment WE might say, "Oh this old thing" or
  "It was only $20"
  
• This is when WE think "If WE shine, people aren't going to like me"

Justifier

• When receiving a compliment WE might talk about how hard WE
  had to work to get it.
  
• This is when WE might feel WE aren't worthy to receive everything
  and that it has to be hard.

Receiprocator

• When receiving a compliment you may deflect the compliment by
  giving one back to the person
• This is when you feel you always have to give back to those that give
  to you & realize it is OK to just receive
  

Receiver

• Take it in and just say "Thank You"
  

Failure is just a Feedback Loop

1. Make a decision
2. Take Action
3. Look for Feedback
4. Make adjustments based on the feedback
5. **REPEAT**
   

When you make a decision, miracles happen.

Most of all find nurturing & and joy in your daily life! Discover your strengths
and use them to build on your weaknesses!  Don't let past patterns determine
your future! 

These will help you claim the worth you need to make you & your business
a star!

This was our last event of 2009 & what a
way to end the year with a SOLD OUT EVENT!

Here are just a few of the take-aways I
received from Paul's amazing talk:

There are 3 things, over & above your technical skills, that you can do to
ensure you are successful in business.  You must have:

1.  financial intelligence
2.  ability to lead others - not manage - LEAD
3.  customer centered service

What is customer centered service?
Focus on serving people & treat others how you want to be treated!

Perception + Behavior = Results
If you're not getting the results you want, change your behavior. 
However, remember, real change comes from a change in perception,
so you need to start there!

Upcoming Charity Events:

WE "Lunch N Learn" at the Betty Ferguson Foundation, Thurs. Nov. 5th, from 12pm-1pm.  Featured Speaker, WE Member, Harriette Knight of Charity Clarity.

Toys for Tots collections will begin at the October Business Success Seminar Event at TPC and will also be held on the November & December Events.  Staff Seargent Derek Hicks will be here to talk to us.  Please bring toys!

Balance Point Spa & Zonta of SCV host "Goddess Night - Martinis for the Cause", Oct. 22nd, from 6pm-9pm.  Miniservices, raffle, free fun, vendors! Portion of proceeds will benefit the Domestic Violence Center of SCV, which has lost 45% of their funding!

Saturday, Oct. 24th, the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention "Out of the Darkness Community Walk" takes place in Santa Monica, funding education & research programs for mental disorders.  Please join "Team MO" for this walk in memory of Candice Hirst's brother.  Please speak with Candice for more information.  Thank you Tami Smight and Sheri Varela for donating t-shirts to the team.

25th Annual Zonta of SCV Celebrity Tribute "A Man for All Seasons", honoring Dr. Alan Barbakow, Friday Nov. 6th at the Odyssey Restaurant.  Hors d' oeuvres at 6pm, Dinner & Dancing at 7pm.  Tickets & Bus.
